Jason Sterne leads Policy Advocacy and Alliance Relations for oncology at Gilead Sciences. In this role, he is responsible for building and enhancing strategic partnerships with patient advocacy groups, care providers, medical societies, professional associations, academia, and thought leaders. Through the development of coordinated advocacy strategies focused on improving inequities in the healthcare system, Jason advances policy solutions that promote an inclusive, responsive, and equitable care delivery system and health innovation ecosystem. Jason has over 20 years of experience in both the nonprofit and corporate sector leading strategic planning, care delivery, and policy development. Before joining Gilead, Jason ran a national nonprofit organization committed to improving the health of marginalized communities impacted by infectious diseases and substance use. Prior to that, he ran a global NGO focused on improving maternal and newborn health in low-and middle-income countries.
