Minister Kaname Araki is an experienced diplomat with nearly 30 years of experience in international affairs. He graduated from Waseda University with a Bachelor's degree, where he studied political sciences. In 1993, Mr. Araki joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), initially working in the First Cultural Affairs Division.
His career includes key roles such as Attaché at the Embassy of Japan in France, Second Secretary at Japan's Mission to the EU, and Deputy Director in the Prime Minister's Office. He has held substantial international positions, including Counselor at the Permanent Delegation to the OECD and Minister at the Embassy in Malaysia.
Minister Araki is currently the Director of Economic, Social, and Development Affairs Division at the Japanese Embassy in Germany, where he continues to contribute to Japan's diplomatic efforts globally.
