Minister Counsellor Ruidíaz is a career diplomat from Chile who took over as Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of Chile to United Nations in February 2019. He is a lawyer by training (Graduated of Juridical and Social Sciences, Universidad de Chile,Law School, 1987), graduated from the Diplomatic Academy “Andrés Bello” in Chile (1990), diplome of the Cycle Long from the Institut International d’Administration Publique, (Paris, 1992) and Master in International Relations (2009, Universidad de Santiago de Chile).
His diplomatic career includes posts in India, Finland, Poland, Brazil, Peru * and New York *, having dealt with human rights and indigenous issues, democracy, civil society and the rule of law in bilateral as well as multilateral Missions. (*2 periods).
At headquarters (MFA), he has worked extensively on human rights, indigenous issues, ASEAN and negotiations with the EU regarding the modernization of the bilateral Association Agreement.
He has been Deputy PermanentRepresentative at the Permanent Mission of Chile to United Nations, New York since February 2019.
