Richard Rosen

Richard Rosen is a principal in the Senior Living Studio at Perkins Eastman. He is responsible for the design and planning of all levels of senior housing, fromIndependent Living Communities through Long Term Care Environments. He has written a variety of articles and has presented at numerous conferences on a range of issues effecting the lives and care of Seniors. Though he specializes in the design of Senior Living communities, he has more than 40 years of experience in a variety of institutional building types, including courthouses, hospitals, laboratory buildings, and multi-family housing.

Prior to joining Perkins Eastman, he was a senior design manager for Marriott SeniorLiving Services, responsible for the design of senior living communities in NewEngland and New York. In addition, Richard served as the Chairman for NAHB’sBest of Senior Housing Awards for 2005-2006, Co-chaired NYAIA Design for Aging, and was on the Advisory Group for the National AIA Design for Aging.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature at the University of Rochester and Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
