Shivan Patelis responsible for collaborating with the rare renal, rare disease and relevant patient and care partner communities for the Renal portfolio to empower patients to seek early diagnosis and active care, focus on slowing the progression of their disease, and understand ongoing unmet needs of the community. In his most recent role as Associate Director, US Patient Engagement, CRM, Shivan led execution of patient advocacy strategies across the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic portfolio including launch preparations for our renal medicines. He was a key contributor to the launch of the engAGE with Heart Baltimore community health initiative and has led efforts to drive behavior change for cardiovascular patients. He has leveraged his background to strengthen relationships with external partners, co-create solutions with the patient and care partner community and empower patients to seek the best care. Prior to joining Novartis in 2023, Shivan held various roles in Global Patient Value & Market Strategy at Sanofi supporting pre-launch efforts in Immunology & Rare Disease and US Oncology Market Access, and leading patient and payer related strategies to minimize access barriers. He also served as the Chief Fellow for the Sanofi-Rutgers Fellowship Program.
